This is a fascinating and very unique section of whale bone with deep shark bite marks. There are at least nine different bite marks on this bone from all different directions. A couple of the bite marks still show serrations. It is rock solid and very heavily mineralized - it weighs 14.4oz. This is an awesome example of species interaction.
