This is a very rare earless seal humerus. This specimen shows a lot of bite marks, almost certainly from a shark. This specimen is from a sub-adult individual and the epiphysis on the proximal end had not yet fully ossified and has been glued back on. This specimen is truly rock solid and is heavily mineralized; it weighs 1lb. 7.2oz. Impressive and extremely rare specimen.
