This is absolutely the most gorgeous tapir maxilla that we have ever encountered. This is the full palate with 12 teeth still perfectly intact. The teeth have truly stunning coloration. The bone is glossy jet black and very heavily mineralized. This specimen is rock solid, it weighs 1lb 5.5oz. This specimen is from our personal collection where it has been for a number of years. Truly museum quality specimen that makes a classy display. Black steel display stand is included. We've gone back and forth on whether or not to list this specimen for quite some time, it's a irreplaceable specimen - we don't know where to get a better one. It will leave a sizeable hole in our collection. They do not come any finer than this - this is a statement display specimen that gets better the more you look at it.
