This is an incredibly rare mandible (lower jaw) with three perfect teeth from the extinct giant tapir. This specimen was found at the world famous Lesiey Shell Pit by well known fossil collection, Frank Garcia. This specimen is extremely heavily mineralized, it weighs 12.9oz. The teeth feature very attractive bluish ultra glossy enamel. A portion of the symphysis is still intact which acts as a natural display stand and the jaw stands up by itself. Really fantastic specimen from a very rare species with excellent provenance.
