This is an exceptionally nice section of fully round mastodon tusk. This specimen is incredibly well preserved and heavily mineralized. It weighs 1lb 14.1oz. Beautiful chocolate brown patina. It has been coated with a preservative so it will be safe to handle for many years to come. Nice section that is very close to the tip. Tusk sections this nice are very difficult to find.
