This is an extremely nice and incredibly rare infant mammoth tooth. This is the first tooth that a baby mammoth would get soon after birth. It has a good portion of the root system still intact. It shows a nice wear pattern to the occlusal (chewing) surface. This individual was almost certainly still nursing at the time of death. Exceptional and beyond rare specimen.
