This is a very nice section of maxilla from the incredibly rare pygmy tapir. This specimen was found in a phosphate mine in the Bone Valley formation. It still has two complete teeth, and at least two partial teeth - it's possible that there may be an additional tooth still fully unerupted, would need an X-ray to determine this. This is an awesome specimen from an incredibly rare species.
