This is an absolutely exceptional and incredibly impressive thoracic vertebra from the giant ground sloth. This specimen is insanely well preserved, the finest we have ever seen. Every last detail is intact and crisp with not even one spot of erosion anywhere. Very heavily mineralized; weighs almost 3lbs. Impressive size, this is the size of mastodon and mammoth vertebrae! This is a very rare specimen from a desirable species in museum quality condition - they truly do not come any finer than this.
