This is a beyond rare section of saber cat skull. This is the posterior (rear/back) portion of the skull (occipital) with a portion of the top of the skull and a portion of one of occipital condyles along with the top portion of the foramen magnum still intact. Absolutely an incredibly rare specimen - this is the first piece of saber cat skull that we have ever offered for sale. It is rock solid and very heavily mineralized. Beautiful dark blue patina. Pictures do it absolutely no justice. Fantastic specimen from a very rare and highly desirable species.
