This is a really exceptional fully rooted three hump mastodon tooth. This specimen still has a section of the jaw tangled up in the roots. The enamel is absolutely gorgeous with a stunning naturally glossy patina. Solid and heavy tooth - weighs 2lb 2.0oz. This specimen has the best roots of any mastodon teeth that we've offered for sale in quite some time. Much nicer in hand than it appears in pictures, you will not be disappointed once you hold this one. It is missing one little piece of enamel on the lingual side which keeps it very affordable, if not for this tiny imperfection it would easily be a $1,000 tooth. World class specimen.
