This is a rare and exceptionally nice mastodon cervical (neck) vertebra that was found at Leisey Shell Pit. This specimen is extremely well preserved and highly detailed with crisp features all around. It is solid and heavy - it weighs 2lb 6.0oz. Awesome example with great provenance that displays very well.
