This is a really exceptional section of mastodon tusk. It is very heavily mineralized and rock solid - something that can rarely be said about Florida ivory. It weighs 1lb 2.1oz. This is probably 90% or so of a complete tusk. It is complete to the hollow proximal end, and the tip is probably only missing about an inch. Really nice specimen that the pictures do absolutely no justice - it is much nicer in hand. Awesome specimen.
