This is an extremely attractive Archaeocete whale tooth (premolar). Pictures do this specimen absolutely no justice, it is much nicer in hand. The is worn smooth and rounded from natural wear when the individual was alive. The enamel has an extremely attractive ruby red/burnt orange ultra glossy patina. Really nice example - very rare to find in this nice of condition.
