This is an extremely attractive Megalonyx ground sloth caniniform (canine) tooth. It features a beautiful matte black patina on one side and a warm chocolate brown on the other. The growth rings and ripples are clearly visible. Pictures truly do this specimen absolutely no justice, it is much nicer in hand.
