This is a one-of-a-kind large bird wing phalanx with two well defined bite holes. We can't say for certain what created this bite holes, but the most likely candidate is alligator. Bird wing phalanges are incredibly rare to find as fossils, and this is the first example we've ever encountered with bite holes. This is a great example of species interaction. This specimen is most closely matched to whistling swan, however it is so large it is outside of the size parameters for that species.
