This is a large and very impressive gomphothere tooth. This specimen is very heavily mineralized and weighs just shy of 2lbs. It has attractive glossy dark blue enamel coloration. It still has a good amount of cement-like matrix affixed to the tooth which adds a lot of character. Great example that makes an impressive display.
