This is a massive and absolutely exceptional gomphothere molar. This specimen is simply huge at 7.5 long. Five full humps. Beatiful glossy black patina. Rock solid and very heavily mineralized; weighs 1lb 11.2oz. The enamel is 100% intact. Full cap with the classic egg-carton under side. Still has a little sea life attached to the underside which adds character. This is a large and very impressive gomphothere tooth. Gomph teeth of this size and quality are extremely scarce.
