This is the finest tapir maxilla (upper jaw) that we have ever offered for sale. This specimen has been in our personal collection for several years, and we don't even specifically collect tapir; it's just that nice of a piece. The teeth are absolutely exceptional and each is fully intact with no damage. Large portion of bone is intact including the zygomatic arch. Rock solid and very heavily mineralized. Really exceptional specimen that makes a great display.
