This is a very nice section of tapir maxilla with two perfect teeth still intact. This specimen is unique in that a good portion is coated with unique pink algae staining. The bone is rock solid and very heavily mineralized. This specimen sits up by itself and makes a great display. Much nicer than the pictures portray.
