This is a very uncommon adult mastodon lower tusk. It has an awesome wear pattern to the very distal tip. One side of the distal tip appears to have sheared off while the animal was still alive. The proximal end is fully round. It has a very attractive blonde patina. Adult mastodon lower tusks are extremely uncommon, very few mastodons retained their lower tusks into adulthood. Awesome and unique specimen.
