This is an absolutely fantastic archaeocete whale caudal (tail) vertebra. This specimen is in exceptional condition that has the spinal process that protects the spinal canal still intact. It is rock solid and very heavily mineralized - it weighs 2lb 1.2oz. This is one of the best preserved archaeocete whale vertebrae that we have ever offered for sale.
