This is an extremely unique mastodon tooth with pearl enamel coloration. White and pearl colored enamel are some of the least common colors for a mastodon tooth. This specimen features a wild assymetrical heavily worn occlusal (chewing) surface that shows some beautiful orange coloration. This animal had to have been in some degree of pain from this pathology. A good portion of the root system is still intact. This is truly a one-of-a-kind specimen that makes a great display.
