This is an absolutely top quality and quite rare mastodon atlas vertebra. This specimen is rock solid and very heavily mineralized; it weighs just shy of 5lbs at 4lb 14.5oz. Well preserved and highly detailed example. These are usually found broken in half. Great display specimen.
