This is a very unique and extra large pathological alligator scute that was found at the famous Leisey Shell Pit. This specimen is rock solid and very heavily mineralized; this is a big, beefy scute. This specimen appears to have some extra bony growth, possibly from a healed injury or from arthritis. Really unique specimen with a lot of character.
