This is a very rare section of saber cat (Smilodon) femur leg bone. This is the proximal end of the bone that has the femural head still intact. It is rock solid and very heavily mineralized. This is one of only a small handful of Smilodon limb bones that we have ever handled. Incredibly rare and highly collectible species. Awesome representation from the iconic Smilodon.
