This is a beyond rare and absolutely world class ground sloth atlas vertebra. This is the first cervical (C1) vertebra located directly behind the skull. It is in incredible condition with no damage. There is a crack on one side that has been stablized, but it does not go all the way through. Absolutely fantastic specimen in all ways.
