This is an absolutely world class mastodon lumbar vertebra. This specimen is extremely well preserved with crisp features all around. It is rock solid and heavily mineralized; it weighs 4lb 1.6oz. Awesome specimen that makes an impressive display. Proboscidean vertebrae are incredibly difficult to find in this nice of condition. Incredible specimen.
