Over the years we've handled hundreds, if not thousands, of mammoth teeth - this specimen is the heaviest of all of them. It's the heaviest mammoth tooth that we have ever heard of or seen anywhere. It has a beautiful patina with some pink algae staining. The occlusal (chewing) surface is exceptional with a nice wear pattern. Extremely detailed with great definition between the enamel plates. It's insane to think about this individual having four teeth of this size, that would be 120lbs of just teeth!! The only negative thing you can say about this specimen would be that it was found in two pieces, split almost exactly in half, and was reattached. This is very common for large mammoth teeth as they often can't support their own weight. It has been professionally reattached and is ready for display. If you could only own one mammoth tooth, this would be the one to have, you will not find a bigger more impressive example.
Due to the size, weight, and rarity of this specimen we will not ship it. Delivery or pickup will need to be arranged. We're on the road a lot, so just contact us and we can arrange delivery.
