Unique Section of Turtle Shell with Healed Bite Mark

This is a very unique section of turtle shell with a significant bite injury that had fully healed with additional bony growth. The bite diameter is just over 1/2", likely from a very large alligator. The injury clearly was not fatal, but it was very significant. Great example of species interaction.
